Historically I have always been my own worst critic. I was a person who had a difficult time giving myself grace. I was someone who always put others before myself and never gave myself enough credit. Working with Dre' is like talking to one of my close friends or family members. I know that we are going to have a sincere conversation and he is going to hold me accountable, because he's invested in my success. I feel important and accepted.
Therapy has given me a space to just talk and not have to worry about getting it "right." I can say whatever I feel at the moment, or whatever I had been holding in. It has allowed me to become a better at listening to my own thoughts and feelings. I am more in tuned with myself than ever before. I can truly say that I have more self-confidence as well. More importantly have a deeper appreciation for myself and my own self-worth.
Dre' helped me grow by calling me out on my habit of not giving myself credit for my achievements. He always reminded me that all my achievements were earned by the work and care that I put into them and to not sell myself short. I can truly say that I'm proud of how much of grown during my time with Dre'.
